Raising Support for New Church in Ntulele

Dear friends! We are launching a specific initiative to help our partners in Kenya build a new church / meeting place for their ministry in Ntulele, Kenya. Please consider joining us by donating here towards our first goal to raise $1,500 for a large meeting tent at the new location for this church. Read on for more complete information about our multi-phase plan!

Church Spaces are Critical Ministry in Kenya

Maasai Christians in the Emayian Life churches in Kenya gather each week for worship & fellowship. Most of the congregations meet under trees, since few church congregations have buildings. These church buildings serve as school buildings on weekdays throughout the year. The Kenyan government spends very, very little on primary school education.

Pastor John Tino preaches to his church under the trees on June 19th in the Naikarra Maasai Mara area.

Goal #1

Our first goal is to gather $1,500 in funds to buy a meeting tent to meet the most urgent need first. By having a tent, church members are shielded from the sun and rain, and provides a gathering place for education, fellowship, and worship.

Tents like the one pictured here provide a cost-effective shelter for church meeting places in Kenya.

Goal #2

Our second goal is to raise $4,500 in funds to prepare the land survey & title to the church grounds and then construct two pit toilets buildings. Due to government health regulations, we need to construct two small pit toilet buildings on the site of this future permanent church. This will allow the large congregation to regularly gather together while staying in compliance with the health regulations.

Goal #3

Our third goal is to raise $25,000 for the construction of the church building itself, which is designed to be built with rock & masonry walls and a metal roof. The congregation plans to have a constant rotation of volunteer church members in this building 24/7 for security purposes.

The completed church building will be a of a similar size and construction to the one below.
